Responsive design is what the cool kids are calling the new Web 2.0. It’s web design approach aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones. I have recently redesigned my portfolio site, joeldelane.com to incorporate this technology, with great effect. If interested why not check out a great book : Responsive Web Design by Ethan Marcotte. Also see some examples of great responsive sites i’ve found, including a Medical Negligence Solicitor, Irwin Mitchell, who use Responsive design really well.
